EU Conference eLearning Lisboa 2007

With the Lisbon Agenda as a scenario how can eLearning and the information and communication technologies in general contribute to the promotion of inclusion lifelong learning, innovation and knowledge management and enhance individual and organisational performance? Delegates and speakers are invited to discuss these and other issues and contribute with suggestions and recomendations to European eLearning and eInclusion strategies.

HR Technologies Summit on 17th October The objective of the 2007 HSCIT Summit is to explore the role technologies play, and could play, in the field of learning and development. It aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners, education and industry as well as policy makers.
The Summit is expected to bring together over 500 delegates from 35 countries. Delegates are decision makers from the human resource, employment and industry sectors, the education and training sector, as well as public authorities.
The event includes:
- DIP 2007 – Digital Identity and Privacy (16-17 October)
- Plugfest (17 October) – to explore current and future progress in the domain of digital identity, CV and ePortfolio interoperability under the aegis of Concordia, a Liberty Alliance initiative.

- Human Resources Technology Conference (17 October)
- ePortfolio Conference (18-19 October)
16 - 19 October 2007 in Maastricht
ePortfolio 2007 is the key international event for the growing community of professionals interested in, and working with, ePortfolios. It brings together policy-makers, researchers, teachers, trainers, human resource managers and technologists. As a thematic event devoted to one domain, it allows an in-depth and broad exploration of the issues - and results in real outcomes. Past events have resulted in the creation of national and international networks, contribution to ePortfolio policy, the launch of the ePortfolio for All campaign, progress in ePortfolio interoperability through the Plugfest, transnational projects and numerous publications.
This year's theme is Employability and Lifelong Learning in the Knowledge Society
The event takes place over 3 days
- 17 October: pre-conference workshops – a Plugfest for engineers and technology specialists and ePortfolio workshops, as well as special interest groups meetings. Other thematic workshop could be organised by sponsors or exhibitors.
- 18-19 October: the main conference – a series of keynotes in the morning followed by parallel workshops
In parallel to the formal events we organise social events:
- Wednesday 17 evening: a cocktail open to all the speakers, sponsors and exhibitors is offered by the city of Maastricht.
- Thursday 18 evening: a gala dinner open to all the delegates with music and dancing.
